In spite of the pandemic we have been facing for over three years, Hilo Coast United Church of Christ is alive and well. The Women’s Fellowship has partnered with the Missions Team to support various charities in the community and abroad, including:

• Senior Services-- Donations of walkers and canes

• Neighborhood Place of Puna-- Clothing for children and teens

• Philippine Islands-- School supplies and clothing for children from disadvantaged areas, and cash donations

• Hawai‘i Island Food Basket-- Canned goods and cash donations

• Former Hilo Coast UCC members who were victims of Hurricane Ida--cash donation

 

Hilo Coast UCC is an active member of the Interfaith Alliance Hawai‘i which represents a wide-range of spiritual and faith traditions, and seeks social justice for all people in Hawai‘i. Recent action items have been homelessness and crime.
